Foodie Talk: How to prepare Peppersoup Yam
Origin: Peppersoup yam is a typical Nigerian meal. Pic: Pepesoup Yam!!! Peppersoup Yam is seasonal. Peppersoup yam is advisable during cold weather, winter, and raining season to keep the body warm and sound. It can be taken at all times but preferably taken during cold times and helps cures flu/cold and also a good cure for stomach upset. Ingredients: 1. Peppersoup spices 2. Yam 3. Salt 4. Maggi 5. Onions 6. Fresh Or Dried Pepe 7. Meat Or Fish Preparation: Boil meat or fish, then add salt, maggi, onions, pepe, and pepesoup spices. Peal off the back of the yam, slice, wash, put in a pot of water on the fire and add the peppersoup spices and other ingredients. Wait for 20 - 30 minutes. Don't allow the water to dry up; If it gets dry add more water to it. The water is medicinal, hot, and delicious. Check to see if the yam is done. Remove out of the fire and serve the watery pepesoup yam in a deep plate. *Enjoy your meal*
